Πολλές ισχυρές εκρήξεις ακούστηκαν νωρίς το πρωί στο κέντρο του Κιέβου, της πρωτεύουσας της Ουκρανίας, έπειτα από συναγερμό για επιδρομή των ενόπλων δυνάμεων της Ρωσίας με πυραύλους και drones, διαπίστωσε δημοσιογράφος του Γαλλικού Πρακτορείου.
Ο δημοσιογράφος μετέδωσε πως άκουσε κάπου δέκα εκρήξεις από τις 05:00 (τοπική ώρα και ώρα Ελλάδας) και μετά, καθώς και πυρά της ουκρανικής αντιαεροπορικής άμυνας.
